Emma went in for surgery at the vet this week to get fixed and have her teeth cleaned. She's a new woman now : ) Lily was very glad to have her back with us after her overnight stay at the vet, and wanted Emma in her lap the whole way home. So sweet.

Riley's Tutu

Lily and I went to play at the mall with Riley and Kim the other day, and Riley brought this super cute tutu. When Kim took it off of Riley and set it on her stroller Lily took an interest in playing with it. Kim asked her if she'd like to wear it and I was quietly thinking Yeah right.... this child hates getting dressed or putting on any form of dress up aside from accesories usually. Lily surprised me though. Kim put it on her, and she started prancing around like a little ballerina princess. It was funny to me and pretty cute.

Our summer roomie has moved on back to Cali to finish his degree at U.C.L.A. It's time for the next chapter. But we did make some fun memories with him this summer. Here's the list of the top 3 favorite fun activities of the summer with E.T.

Dear Lily,

Daddy and I can't believe how much you've grown this past year. You are getting so big and continue to grow in your abilities and independence. You are talking more and more these days, and it's so fun to hear what you're thinking. I love when you tell me what you see when we're driving ("I see bird, Mommy!"). Just thought I'd record a few things you like these days so both of us can look back at them later and remember you as at this stage. You love your pets (Emma and Gretsky), play dates with your friends, dancing in the dark with glo sticks, blowing bubbles, "going swimming", playing with your babies and your dollhouse, watching t.v./movies (favorites right now are Finding Nemo, Bolt, and Dora the Explorer), and reading books. You are especially fond of your Daddy and you love that he is always so willing to play with you. Your favorite games with him lately are Ring around the Rosy and having him push you on your new tricycle. We are very grateful for the joy you bring to our lives and we love you so much!
