Visiting Gramma Ginger in Oregon

Shane's Dad gave us the wonderful gift of flying us to Oregon to spend some time with his Gramma Ginger following the death of his Grandpa and her beloved husband of 62 years. We got a chance to reminisce with Gramma on Grandpa John's life and the lasting impact he had on his loved ones. It was a great time of bonding with Gramma Ginger, and being able to help out with some of the day to day stuff. We also got to enjoy some fun times with Lily at the beautiful beach on the Oregon coast. Lily had an amazing time. Aside from the traveling (she has developed a fear of heights, and was not so into the airplane ride), it was the happiest she's ever been on a big vacation like that. She normally has a rough time being out of her element, but she was loving Gramma Ginger and the whole Oregon experience. We are thankful to the Lord, and grateful for the prayers he answered in making this a special and memorable trip.

It's hard to tell from this picture, but this is a glimpse inside the world's largest known sea lion cave. It was really cool to see these little guys playing and lounging in their natural habitat.

This is the Heceta Head lighthouse, which according to the sign is the world's most photographed lighthouse.
