FRIENDS

We feel very blessed in Lily's developing friendships these days. It is such a joy to see her connecting with other kids, building relationships, and making memories. We love our friends.

As you can imagine, it was difficult to catch photos of Lily and her friends at her bday party. They were much too busy for pictures. But here's a shot of Lily, Reese, Katelyn, and Evvi (the playgroup gang minus Sadie) in the bounce house. These girls are all about the same age and we've been meeting for playgroups since the girls were around 6 months old. It has been so fun to play and grow together with these precious girls and their sweet mommies.

Here are sweet Ava and Lily sitting in the cars at Cool Cuts for Kids getting ready for their new dos. We first met Ava and her fam at family camp a year and a half ago, and we have enjoyed their friendship greatly. These two have lots of fun together. We recently cut Lily's hair into a little bob after several months of me chasing her around the house daily with a hairbrush and her telling me she wants short hair : P

Here's Lily and Evvi. These girls love to play dress up together. On their most recent playdate they pretended to be princesses and dubbed Evvi's little sister Sadie "Sir Sadie". Their imaginations are a trip, and give us Moms lots of laughs.


Here are the Grace girls (Pam, Kate, and Cami) minus Halle. Lily and I got to go to their house for a fun swim day at the end of summer. Pam and I became good friends when we taught together our first year, and this family took Shane and I in many a weekend night pre-Lily. We miss living close to them, and it is always a fun time when we get to see them. They are so sweet to Lily, and she loves the attention from the big girls.

Hahaha! This was a funny day. Here are Lily and Riley. We've been friends since just before Riley was born- Shane and Corey (Riley's Daddy) were in residency together. We love hanging out with the Mayfields, but our houses are a big drive apart. So one day we tried to get the girls to nap together so Kim and I could have some real chattin time. Obviously, that didn't work out : ) The Mayfields added to their clan this past spring, and Lily is a BIG fan of Baby Cole.

And of course there's Logan.... Lily's first best friend. The Schaefers moved to San Antonio at the end of residency. But we got to go visit them for a couple of days and we're gonna get to have them visit next month. Yay! Here's a video of Lily and Logan being silly and doing their favorite activity... playing on those red couches : ) They're singing the song from Madagascar "We like to move it move it" I've seen this video about a thousand times because Lily LOVES to watch it : )
