We had a great 4th of July weekend. On Friday night Lily, Kristi, and I went with our next door neighbors to the AWESOME "Kaboom Town" fireworks display in Addison. It was way cool because we were just across the runway at the airport where they put the fireworks off at. So it was close and big and synchronized to music on one of the local stations. We were in the back of a truck with Lily alternating between jamming to the tunes, staring in awe at the show, and cuddling with Aunt Kristi and I. We were very (happily) surprised that she did not freak out. It was a special time to be able to celebrate the awesome country we live in and reflect on all the men and women who continually serve and protect this nation. Meme, Grandad, and Aunt Shelley came in on Friday. It was nice to have all the fam together Sat. evening at the Maberrys for a bar-b-q. Kristi brought her new friend ; ) and we had fun eating great food, chatting it up, and playing Wii.
