Family Camp
We had lots of pics to share so I broke down and finally figured out how to make a slideshow for the blog. We went to family camp with our church at a place in Arkansas called Shepherd of the Ozarks. It was a beautiful place, and we enjoyed our first 'just us 3' family vacation.... as much as you can with a 2 year old : ) She enjoyed the new sights, but it was tough on Lily being away from home and out of her routine and regular sleeping/eating habits. She held pretty tight to Mommy and Daddy in this unfamiliar territory. There were a few things she really enjoyed about the trip. She LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the petting zoo they had. We spent at least an hour a day there, and it was fun to see her so excited about feeding and interacting with all the cute animals. She also enjoyed most of the animals they had stuffed and on displayed in the cabins and food lodge... all except the scary buffalo "daiwy buffo", which she was very concerned about "getting u". During the days we did lots of outdoor activities and in the evenings there were worship services followed by an evening activity. There were tons of kids, and she made friends with the sweet girls in our cabin who were all older than her. Shane and I enjoyed hanging out with new friends and having some time away from our everyday lives.
